mBB Privacy Policy

In a nutshell, we NEVER share our individual members personal information with third parties.  

What This Privacy Policy Covers

• This policy covers how my Better Benefits (mBB) treats personal information from its members that the association collects and receives.   Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

• This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that the mBB does not own or control, or to people that the mBB does not employ or manage.

Information Collection and Use

General

• The association only collects personal information when you register with the association through our web site giveaway program or when you sign up to receive our weekly newsletter. 

• Members are NOT required to sign up for the newsletter or to provide us with their contact information to use the mBB program.  Your company representative provides you with an mBB ID # unique to your company that allows all employees/members, to utilize our program.  This makes us uniquely different from every other program of our type nationwide.  All other programs require users to provide them with personal contact information in order to sign up and utilize benefits and then barrage users with emails, sometimes as many as 3-4 each week.  mBB does not and will not.

• When you register for our newsletter, we ask for information such as your name, email address and your mBB member company.   Once you register to receive the association's newsletter, you are not anonymous to us.

• The mBB web site automatically receives but does not record nor retain any information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookie information, and the page you request.

Children

 

• Only employees of mBB member companies are eligible to furnish the mBB with their e-mail address and/or other personal information for web site giveaways. 

• No children may register with mBB nor use our site at any time.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

• The mBB Association does not share the personal information nor e-mail addresses of our individual members with our Vendors nor do we share this information with employers or ANYONE for that matter.  What you provide us is accessible only by mBB staff and protected in the strictest confidence.

• The mBB Association does share the contact information for our Company Representatives (not individual members) with our Member Vendors for a fee.

• The mBB Association does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

   

  • On behalf of our Vendors, we may periodically distribute information about special events or discounts that may be of interest to our members via our e-mail distribution list.

   

  • We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;

   

  • We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of mBB’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

   

  • We transfer information about you if mBB is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, mBB will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

   

• mBB may display targeted advertisements (banner ads) based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on targeted ads meet the targeting criteria - for example, women ages 18-24 from a particular geographic area.

   

  • mBB does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.

   

  • mBB Vendors & advertisers include financial service providers (such as  insurance agents and stock brokers) and non-financial companies (such as stores, amusement parks, and software companies).

   

  • mBB works with vendors, partners, advertisers, and other service providers in different industries and categories of business.

Cookies

• Visitors to our web site allow mBB to set and access cookies on your computer.

 

• mBB lets other companies that show advertisements on some of our pages set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to mBB’s cookies.

 

Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences

     General

• You may edit or remove your contact information from our database at any time.

 

• We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to mBB, such as service announcements, administrative messages and the mBB newsletter, that are considered part of your mBB account and you may opt-out of receiving them at any time.

 

• You can remove your name from our database by simply e-mailing us or by unsubscribing from any newsletter we send you with the unsubscribe option at the bottom of the communication.

Confidentiality and Security

• We limit access to personal information about you to vendors who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

 

• We never share your information with your employer - never.

 

• We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

• mBB may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your mBB account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
