Colonial Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg offers a window
to an important piece of America. From 1699 to 1780, Williamsburg,
Virginia, was the political, cultural, and educational center of
what was then the largest, most populous, and most influential of
the American colonies. Today, the Colonial Williamsburg Historic Area
allows you to visit the preserved past and have history interpreted
for you.
Your admission provides access to Historic Area
sites including the Capitol, as many as 20 to 40 exhibition
buildings (depending on daily or seasonal operating schedules), such
as the Governor’s Palace, Great Hopes Plantation, all historic
trades (wheelwright, blacksmith, milliner, wigmaker, etc.), gardens
(including the Governor's Palace gardens) and all of our authentic
18th-century exhibition sites such as the Courthouse, Gaol,
Magazine, and the homes of Peyton Randolph and George Wythe.
Includes access to the art museums (Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk
Art Museum and DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum) and
Revolutionary City®, a daily, two-hour street theater
presentation.
Pricing varies by season and by
ticket. Winter tickets are less expensive than fall tickets
and summer tickets are priced the highest. Multi-day and
bounce tickets (including Busch Gardens Williamsburg), offer the
best deals. Children 5 and under are admitted free and
youth rates apply to ages 6-12.
